rofessional Agreements and other special employment agreements, including non-competes, non-solicitation, and confidentiality provisions;

        2.  Drafting Severance Agreements, Separation Agreements, and Release Agreements for businesses with anticipated layoffs, exiting employees, or terminated employees; and

        3. 
Attending Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) audits and counseling clients regarding pending collective actions for alleged failures to pay overtime and other wage and hour claims. 
        

     Also, Mr. Alvarez counsels corporate clients in their proactive compliance efforts and attempts to effectively manage their risks and limit the liabilities associated with the ever-changing state anf federal employment laws.  These include:

        1.   Drafting, training, and implementing Policies and Procedures Manuals for businesses;

        2.   Reviewing and auditing a company's current policies and procedures to determine best practices and   compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations;

        3.   Drafting and implementing HIPAA Compliance Manuals, Fraud and Abuse Compliance Manuals, and Medical Billing Procedures Manuals; and

        4.   Conducting Employment Practices Compliance Audits (“EP Audits”) for employers.  The "EP Audits" focus efforts on identifying compliance deficiencies and areas for improvement and prevention.  Included in these are I-9 compliance, employee training and management training, if needed, review of job applications, review of certain agreements and job descriptions for appropriate classification, auditing social security numbers provided, “no-match” letter review, and over all assessment of compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations depending on the size of the employer.
